As you all know, 2020 has been quite a challenge, and we couldn’t possibly be more grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support you have provided. Through your donations and your volunteer efforts, you’ve made it possible for us to continue serving our less fortunate neighbors despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
We adapted immediately to create safe circumstances for our volunteers and customers, moving to a “call-in orders” only protocol with masks, social distancing, and frequent disinfecting practices. We also found it necessary to temporarily discontinue accepting food donations, but the outpouring of financial support from this community helped us accommodate that.
Over the past 12 months, we provided food to local families almost 700 times, serving nearly 1,700 individuals, many of whom were children. We were also able to provide holiday gift cards to our customers. In a year when the Fun Run became a virtual event, you still managed to make donations from the run a big success. Your support also enabled us to exceed the $5,000 Town Pump Match requirement. Throughout the entirety of this challenging year, you have all stepped up – volunteering to help keep the store open and offering financial support.
We look forward to your continuing friendship and support in the coming year and beyond!
